I have used these pads for about 20mins TOPS, and they have sort of Melted. I'm Running a brand new Echo 07 rim (reground) and they seem to get like this after about 10 mins. I filed/sanded them down and put the back on thinking they were bedding in or something. and they melted again. I cleaned the rim with meths, rode for about 5 mins and they were good. Got the wet, splashed it a poodle. and they had No lock what-so-ever. I as going at about jogging pace, pulled the lever and the brake didn't work, AT ALL.

I have since put a pair of green Rock pads in and they seem to be working fine.

The pads were set up extremely good, they were both hitting the rim at the same time, and they were both parallel. I'm confused about what's happened to them. I may grind my rims and see if that helps.

Thanks for your time!

Hi Matt,

Sorry to hear about this problem. Bit of a rogue pad there! If you drop me an email with your postal address in it to Steve@heatsinkbikes.com then I'll get free replacements sent out 1st class today for delivery tomorrow. (Y)

For the quickest resolution of any problems with pads, best send me an email since I check my email more regularily than TF. :) I hope that in the case of any problems riders can first give me an opportunity to exceed their expectations with my level of customer support!
