Onza Kieron
I ride my mates Blaster 200 quite often and theyre damn quick for quads like, also Mate had a race tuned yzf350 rafe quad from like '94 or something crazy that kicked over forwards, that was hella fast with low profile tyres on.... Nice bike though, gimme a go!
Danny
Nice but what's the point in a road legal quad?Isn't the WHOLE point of a quad to go blasting round a quarry/field?
Fish-Finger-er
Nice but what's the point in a road legal quad?Isn't the WHOLE point of a quad to go blasting round a quarry/field?the ability to do both, with some legal(ish) off road tyres. the fact u can rip onto a field with road tyres and slide around to your hearts driftin content. the fact that theyve got power to weight ratios similar to motorbikes, but you dont need to balance. the fact there cheap transport, easy to park, easy to keep in your garage, good on fuel and insurance.and there a play thing.same reason why youd have an enduro bike road registered, all the funs off road, but just occasionally you need to cross roads etc gettin betweens forests
Danny
Or get a trailer
Fish-Finger-er
Or get a trailer got one with the enduro bike, but its not quite that simple, youll go rippin down fireroads and forestry sections on say a 20-5 mile loop or summit taking 2-3 hours. 6 miles in there will be an end of a fire road, and an 800m gap to the next one, filled in a with a lane. and the trailers 6 miles away back at the car, and ill be bolloxed if im pushin it, hence i ride it, although atm i dont have a license, its the reason im gettin one
powerz
Dad brought it for a few reasons really:1. localy there are no fields to use it on without being kicked of2. something differant to go to shops on, cruise about on ect, 3. takes it to local carpark for alil trick riding and also now has permission to use a local farmers field so he takes it off road, and has off road tyres for that but likes to use his road tyres for some serious drifting.down side to quads is even the fastest of quads will only do 130 mph max but they have so much torque and my dad dont realy use it on motorways ect he just cruises about on it, its his lil toy well hobbie realy just spends all his time and money on it. Gavyn.
road legals are cool you can drift all day long (if you can afford the tyres) but i wouldn't ever have one cause they're so much slower than bikes its unreal and they take more effort to drive too ( some don't have reverse gears and when your going slow the steering is really quite heavy.) i'd have an off road one though alsong as i had a nice big field whitch was a bit swampy to fly around in

Haz
That does look pretty sweet, but I bet it cost as much as a small car?Didn't think they would produce much torque though, surely they are just the same as bike engines, just high reving?
