bonzojim
QUOTE(hugh_b @ Jun 5 2007, 07:20 PM) ←it's nice but...i dont think ill be paying £500 for a frame thats gona get wrecked in no time. I think those sort of prices are taking the p**s really. If it was around the £350 or even £400 mark i'd probably have one but i dont wana spend that much on a frame. thing is hugh ye the prices are high but at the end of the day your paying for the best really m8 lol James s... Janson
it's funny. the first coust was a light comp frame and has lasted me over 2 1/2 years. i expect this to be really durable when ridden correctly, ie not tapping to downtube on rails all the time.looks great i think, though the orange is a bit too much for me. i'm still a LLS guy. Gee™
thing is hugh ye the prices are high but at the end of the day your paying for the best really m8 lol James s...How is that the best frame? What makes it better than others with similar geometry which cost less? It's not made from the best material, it not the lightest frame on the market, it will dent easily, it looks crap.Just because its the most expensive frame doesnt by any means make it the best. IMO One of the factor's of being the best frame would be the price of it.If deng made it, would you still say it was the best? ScotchDave
and i love you to Dave! Now back to the subject, personaly i recon the rear end could do with being a litte longer, but then again with horizontal dropouts it is not so muich of a problem....But say fr example if u run 18-16 the ear end will be shorter due to moving the wheel forward, hence why if i had one i think i would run my tensioner and then wack it right back!AdamI do love you Adam, but in a special way that Northerners have for southerners...On to the topic in hand, what you're paying for with this frame is the development costs, it's a coust redesigned from the ground up, takes lots of moola... Pauly
I am with Ali, to high of BB. KOXX-UK
Thought you may want to see the mech hanger, if required.Fred.
Shaun H
Thought you may want to see the mech hanger, if required.Fred.To be fair, that mech hanger setup looks quality. Some people might be disappointed that you can't adjust CS length with it on but you could probably bodge it so you could haOh and please answer my question Can you confirm that the yoke is the same as used on the first few Karbon prototypes? hugh_b
according to koxx fr you have to run their cnc ss hub, if not you have to run the mech hanger i think (it's french translation so a bit off)
RobinJI
Thought you may want to see the mech hanger, if required.Fred.Erm... nice one there, dropouts that are only really compatible with proIIs. You're gunna round that tiny Allen bolt in about 20 seconds if you have to undo it every time you take your wheel out, which you will have to with a traditional QR style hub, and fun bolts aren't gunna fit through the whole. Bigman
Do those mech hanger adapters come with the frame or are koxx gunna charge stupid money for them? Also, like has already been said, what size is the hole in the adapters, are chris king fun bolts gunna fit??Adam

grantham
Ordered mine today, can't wait to get out on it, I have been waiting for this design for a long time. The hanger design is genius. Can't wait.

Mark W
The hanger design is genius.DMR did one similar to that over 3 years or so ago, and DMR are far from "Genius" at anything Quite a nice looking frame, just that BB yoke scares me. For a £495 frame, I'd rather have a slightly more optimistic outlook on it's potential lifespan?
Savage
I have been waiting for this frame. it's been tested over a long period of time, I have every confidence in it, I'll be ridding one as from next week.Ben.

For a £495 frame, I'd rather have a slightly more optimistic outlook on it's potential lifespan?DMR offer a lot of decent quality parts at affordable prices. Some of the things they make really are great and innovative, as well as being industry leading in their specific field with a lot of stuff. How many bike shops sell dmr peddles? Hundreds, because they're solid and reliable gear at prices people are willing to pay. The hub selection is great, their new 135mm cassette hubs are fantastic and their bringing out new ideas all the time, like the seatpost/seat combo. Not to mention their dirt jump frames are fantastic. I think it requires a certain amount of genius for a couple of riders to start a company thats so successfull
PaRtZ
coolest paint job ever I agree, looks lovely. Nice design and good low profile. Looks like a winner imo

Krisboats
looks like a blatant rip off of the macneil pivotal system to me Hadn't seen the bmx equivalent. Still the first MTB designed one i think isn't it?
Greetings
Does anybody else think that the paintjob doesn't fit any Koxx/Try-All components in production? I mean the frame alone is amazing but that bike is a mess, strong coloured frame, neutral forks, rest in black. They're definitely going in the right direction with their frames, getting better and better but the price will probably never change For that money I'd rather get a Triton and save a few quid. Has anyone seen my shoe?
For that money I'd rather get a Triton and save a few quid.Exactly. YOu can get a fully custom titanium frame fo rthe same price...

Koxx wouldnt be happy if you started slagging off their new frame lol. Frame doesn't look all that to be honest and would never pay that amount for a frame no matter how good it is, isn't really justifiable especially since you get like a 3 month warranty or something crazy like that. If Koxx thought it was that good i would expect thm to put at least a years warranty on the frame.
