Krisboats
dunelm had some stand alone dehumidifier/humidifier/air conditioning units last time i went. Didn't really have a proper look at them so i dont know if they're the air coolers you don't want but they were around the £100 mark. spode@thinkbikes
I bought one second hand on eBay. I searched for people in my local area specifically as I needed it quickly (I was dying of heat). It was literally brand new, never used. Should have been £250, but I got it for £100. One of those cool portable units. So I just move it from room to room when I need it. But our place isn't too big - so it does help cool the whole house down. poopipe
rent one? we get them in at work for summer - they can't cost much given that I basically had to fake a purchase order for a new graphics card and there's only about 2 of us that have had a pay rise in the last couple of years.
