Fixed Pants™
Are you sure that what you were downloading is clean?
Caleb
yeah the downloads were fine think it may have been due to trying to find a serial key for nero 7.0.the A drive error no longer shows, think i might try re installing my router . . . Fixed Pants™
Hmm, serial sites do tend to be layden (sp) with spyware etc, but i doubt it would attack exploerer. But explorer works now so there's no real problem. The internet business... Try going to command prompt (start>run>cmd) and typing 'ipconfig /renew'And possilbly, 'ping www.google.co.uk' to check if your computer can connect (kind of tricks the comp)

tomturd
Spybot search and destroy should find some other stuff
Fixed Pants™
AVG is pretty much a tub of wank.Yasee, i'm in two minds about antiviruses other than norton and mcafee, i seem to never get any popups saying some shits been going down on your hood (comp) while when i used norton it would 'find' nasties quite a lot, i say 'find' because my theory on norton and mcafee is that they're complete bollocks and make up alerts to make it seem like they're finding shit and they're saving the day.Might try go back to Norton for a week or something, see what happens. (i think i'm on drugs)Danny, or any other leet for that matter, is nod32 a live antivirus, as i've never had alerts when running hacking stuff, even though it's 99% of the time detected as viruses. But yeah, as Danny's said spybot is good and often picks up some good stuff, honest program. Krisboats
Xoftspy is a fast scanner, should do the whole pc in a few measly minutes and picks up a few things the others miss. If you've been looking for serials for things i'm sure you have no moral barrier to stop you finding a torrent for it from somewhere... most have the keys in with them too.I have comodo and avg running all the time. And have ad-aware, bugdoctor and xoftspy as "extra measures". Havn't had a nasty on here in a while now, never have adware/spyware.The CCleaner trialspimp suggested should help to clean off some unneeded crap and give your pc a bit of a speed boost. Nick Garland
I would say use many programs. I use:Spybot search and destroySpyware Sweeper Windows Defendera-Squared FreeAdawareSome programs will find stuff that the others wont, use more than 1 to be as clean as possible.
