ftw Posted June 3, 2007 Report Share Posted June 3, 2007 I personaly like street as there is much bigger things to do, e.g sidehops you have to get right on the top of the wall, or you will slip. Natural you dont have to get on the top as the rocks are mostly curved. So it's like you hav'nt really made it. I you see where I'm coming from.I rode shipley glen yesterday I did'nt find it really good, after I rode my local town I rode the best I had rode all day.So Street Is my favourite.Cheers Ross. It's generally all static moves so it can bring on your power. The reason for my choice, is that i havent really rode a lot of natural, but from what i have rode, i find it very hard.This is probably because i have never really attempted to get into natural!I mean, with street, you get on back wheel, and feel comfortable and balanced, whereas in natural, it is a lot harder to balance because your either on a slope or the surface isn't smooth.I also believe that riding is meant to be fun! And when i go out, i dont ride non-stop, i sit around and talk to freinds and ride inbetween doing other stuff! In natural there are big lines to do and you cant just do one bit of the line and then stop halfway because your bored!So street gets my vote, but i will still enter comps and stuff now and again!Danny... Respect.I find it alot easier to get bored of street. A 40inch wall is a 40inch wall where ever you go, whereas you can go to a different set of rocks anywhere in the country and no 2 set will be the same. Thats what a competition is for; to find out who can cut it. But its street riding that inpresses me the most because its were the level is really increased. It used to be that street was a place to get exposure for riders who couldnt stand out in comps. Im not saying that the street scene is full of lightweights; it most certainly isnt.
