Cubase -> Reason -> Vocoder

Does anyone use cubase/reason/is an expert at both?

Ive got reason set up with the vocoder so my usb midi controller can control the modulation of an NNXT sample but I was wondering if its possible to do this live using cubase and rewire.

So id have an audio input in cubase going out to reason somehow...

Any ideas?

It is very possible, you need a nice soundcard though.

Open up Cubase and go to the options at the top and select Reason, then chose the L+R outputs to start with. Then minimize Cubase and load up Reason, and fingers crossed it should work in rewire mode. But theres also a good chance it won't load at all, shout at your, or not output anything like mine sometimes does.

Then open up a mixing desk and NNXT in Reason, go back to Cubase and click the bar where you choose your instrument, and NNXT should be there.

Works with all the Reason instruments, except DrRex, which you have to do on the Reason step time editor.

thanks but thats not what i mean... i have cubase and reason in rewire but i want, say, one audio channel from cubase to be run through reason and being modulated by the vocoder,

unless you mean id have to run all the reason stuff back into cubase and use it like that, but then the only input i can get into the nnxt is midi, i want audio, like, a microphone
