Joe Sheehan!
Right. Basically i need to record the sound of a video on youtube on my PC. Apart from sticking a microphone next to the speakers while playing the song, how can i do it? Maybe a program that i can use? Thanks for any help! Gavyn.
go to www.vixy.net select the ".mp3 (audio only)" enter the youtube url and it should work or if you've got a nice sound card you might be able to record the output, or get a audio cable with 2 3.5mm jacks on it put one in the speaker port, the other in the microphone port and record from the line in. Endohopper
You should install AUDACITY . Simple to use , and offers plenty of options , allowing differing output formats etc .

*PHIL*
you know you can just use windows sound recorder right?depending on your sound card its different to set up but just open you sound card settings and mess with the inputs/outputs or whatever until you get a signal into sound recorder...i have all the fancy music production progs too but if i want to just rip a sound from somewhere on my pc, sound recorder is always the best way
