Look at it like this: GCSE's are (for a fact) the easiest exams you'll do, Sats don't count because they don't affect your job applications. So you may aswell get your head down and work your b*ll*x off because it's going to be the only time you can easily get a A* if you put in abit more effort. I wish I put more effort into my Gcse's because they really were such a doss and I'm pretty confident I could of got straight A's if I wasn't spending every evening with the gf.

And anyway revision isn't actually work (at Gcse level). It's sitting down and absorbing stuff into your brain, not quick back breaking is it?

I didnt revise as much as i should of at GCSE, but still came out happy! Just wait till you guys get to A2 like me, my first exam is on Tuesday, and i can't get into the swing of revision fully, but im doing the hours.I found compared to AS, GCSE's were so easy, but the more you revise the better you will get, and thats the same in any year.

in my RE exam i put down how to make a pot noodle :P

Well done mate! The easiest time of your life and you manage to totally toss it up. Getting a job in McDonalds will be hard for you now, hope you've got a backup plan cause your going to need it.

You do not NEED gcses. They are just quite useful!

If you fail there are other alternatives. My mate messed up big time when we did ours about 5 years ago now, nothing higher then a D. They are now a plaster and earn so much money and are darn happy with life.

Do not let people tell you academics are everything.

i just tell myself before i go into an exam or start revising that if i do bad its not exactly the end of the world just because you got less than expected in maths or english. i have a maths exam on monday and a science on tuesday lol and im not scared of them but im not looking forward to sitting in a room for 2 hours at a time and not being allowed to talk to anyone >_<lol
