Infinity
I am exactly 6foot 1" and I ride a new monty pr, used to ride an x-lite. Was really short but loved it. I would defonatly recomend looking at a 26" though maybe gu or adamant ect because I am now debating if I should swap as the monty does feel abit small. tryin_trials
cool, my mates just brought an Onza 24", is this quite a good size to start or should I go bigger or smaller?? Is there a good starter bike that isn't too expensive as obviosly the starter bike will take a bit of a beating!!
trials mad andy
i agree your first bike will take a beating to start off with so id go for an onza or something but as for size well it really depends what you like. Whether you like to have a smaller bike which is easier to control and for hopping around a bit more or weather you want a larger bike that you can just roll on to stuff. Personally if i was you i would go for a 26" because of your height.Trials mad andy Edited May 31, 2007 by trials mad andy
jsy trials matt
If i was 6ft pluss i would go for somethimething with a wheel base of 1045mm, or maybe try a 26inch bike, like a echo control or zoo pitball.Matt

Sir_Hops_Alot
Im over 6foot and riding a onza t-mag mod fine, but then i do have a hi-rise stem and echo tough bars. It's all about the length but it doesn't have to be in the frame.

steve@banbury-trials
i think that your best bet would be to tag along with a group ride sometime and try different steeds to get a feel for what you could get.steve

Dan6061
Your height really makes no difference to what size bike you should ride.My mates 6' 4", and rides a T-Pro, which is around 1000mm wheelbase. He went from an Adamant A1, to the T-Pro, just because he prefers riding mod to stock. If you have any local rider, could you just ask if you can have a quick go to get used to it? I know it's easier said than done, but just explain that you want to start the sport or something.. just have a chat?

Chain tension is easy! But I personally ride 20" because when i first tried a trials bike I preferred the smaller wheels
