Ben@LeicesterTrials Posted May 31, 2007 Report Share Posted May 31, 2007 Doing Exams at the minute, Don't know exactley what I'm doing just yet but I've got a place on college for a plastering course, but I'll get a aprenticeship aswell with one of my dads mate as he said he will take me on but i'm not sure what i want to do yet, Theres real good money in plastering when your good at it, but dad and mates are telling me not to do it as it will bore the f**k out of me, becuase i hate doing the same thing.God knows, I'll see what happens ... RicH_87 Posted May 31, 2007 Report Share Posted May 31, 2007 i've been out of school for nearly 2 years already, just working/being a bum.tired of it now though so i've applied to go back and do a Public Services course at college.2 years, hopefully get some life experience out of it, and have a look at the various emergency services jobs etc. maybe meet some people who can give me some good advice on it all.then the plan is to apply for the Fire Service at the end of the course (2009/10). I wanted to apply this year really but i don't feel ready enough, even though i'm 19/20.seems a long way off though, all my mates from school should have jobs by then, kinda gutting but i'm still sticking to my non uni guns. Feels amazing, now im working full time in an architects practice (where i did my placement) forced 3k outta them extra a year on pay, so im sitting pretty at the moment. Greatest thing i did was stuck on at sixth form when i was going to give up, and then going to university when i was going to give up. I would hate to try a year out then back to college/school/uni etc, it just would be a severe slog and i would have such lack of motivation.I hope those that want to just 'bum' about, decide against it. Might as well get a good education now, and not suffer later, and chances are you WILL NOT be able to make a living out of riding, so dont just think school is a waste of time, it certainly aint.Im looking to get a 2.1 BSC Hons in Architectural Technology, suppose ill find out soon enough though .cheers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
