Well i know davey just made a topic on peoples current job's, but as ive just left school and going to be needing a job pretty soon, but i can't decide what i want to do......???

At 18 i really want to join the fire brigade, but i need a job to do up until then, so what are some of you thinking of doing?

Or what did others do for a job from 16-18?

Alan.

Depends.

6th form doing dt and business and possibly IT. if i get the grades.

College if not, doing car repair and servicing.

Maybe an apprenticeship doing car stuff which means college too.

In the 3 month summer holiday we have, I'd like to get a job in hellfrauds or a bike shop.

Im leaving school. Having a break for 2 months. Getting a job anywhere for a year. Then moving to Leicester to go college to study media production and video editing.

Danny.

I did that, dont do it danny honestly, in one of the dvd's we got shown it basically tell's you there's a very low possibility of a future in it, after that i left. Only did it for 7 month's.

I wish i'd of done something useful, but i would'nt of known if i hadnt of tried it in the first place i guess.

i have just finished my first national diploma in art and design. I am now applying for a job and have a conditional place on a first national diploma in motorsport engenering. I am also taking a airbrushing course in july and in two years time i hope to apply for a apprentaship with mercades in body prep and spraying.

hopefully going to go to college and do some highers then go to uni and do geology and petroluem geology.

if not i'll go to college and do some sort of mechanical engineering then i'll apply for a degree coarse in motorsport engineering (although i can't see there being many jobs which will be actual motorsport and i'll most likely end up doing something else.)

After gsce's I'll either go into the Royal Marines as a squaddy, or go to college, get some A levels and go into the Royal Marines as an officer.

Although the lata is more likely, as it gives me longer to train.

And if that all fails, I'll most likely end up working as a posty or try out for the fire brigade.

Well sending them out this early is pretty pointless anyway, they'll give it a skim read, put it in a draw, come across it 4 months later and think f**k it he will have a job by now.

It's worse for me as im not 16 until august. >_<

I've left sixth form and if I get the grades, which I should, I'm going to Sheffield Hallam to do Business and E-Commerce.

Should be awesome. Can't wait!

I almost went to Hallam, but I could'nt be arsed with the hour m1 drive everyday, nevermind the cost of parking near campus.

Ive just left school and am waiting for my exams to finish, then im going to work full time over the summer holidays, in a shopping centre near london, as they give something called london waiting which is about £1 extra an hour for a 1/2 train journey. Then hopefully i will be minted (ish) and i can buy a 50cc bike, and that will be that.

As for education, ive passed ICT, so im ready to start college in september doing a Btec in games development :D.

I am going to miss school though...

EDIT: I got a letter for my NI card, but my mum lost it, so i need to re-apply. Where can i do this? thanks.
