PaRtZ
I think tall people have an advantage. I cant work out how or why because bigger people = heavier its just a trend that taller people seem to be beasty:CLSTunniDamonPhil williams (jesus... )SavageHermanceThe only small people I know who are awesome are danny Swindlehurst, craig davies and yao zhi (btw no offence on the small thing)Ive been riding 3 years and im still quite poop lol And I've not had any breaks from trials either it seems to be atleast 5 times a week riding. My mates been riding bmx for 2 years and can juuuust about bunnyhop. People have different learning speeds to others and ive just lost a lump of snot down my keyboard But as everyone says, it doesn't matter, so long as youre having fun, keep going EDIT: OK sorry to hijack the thread, but would you rather be able to learn everything and progress, or just be godlike straight away and be at the top of the game and never progress? (theoretically) Edited May 30, 2007 by PaRtZ

(theoretically)Being "Godlike" straight away would be shit, everything would get boring very quickly.I think part of what even the best of the best enjoy, is finding/learning/doing/inventing something completely new. Progression is part of the fun of trials, but it's also important to remember it's not ALL the fun in trials.
Ghetto Rider
It's just commitment, bear in mind these people will ride on their own if they have to!!
EchoOz
There are loads of 'shorter' riders out there that are also amazing, Benito Ross, Carles Diaz, Marco Grosenik. Besides smaller people have an advantage because everything looks bigger compared to them on vids but i dont really think height has alot to do with it. Just an opinionOz

(theoretically)Good shout, I'd much rather be shite and gradually get better than just be god like straight away. Surely everyone loves that feeling of achievement, like the first big drop you ever did... remember how good that felt... or all the times you've fallen off and bled all night but got back on and tried again and eventually done the move or line you wanted. ogre
but i dont really think height has alot to do with it. Just an opinionI think it does, it means your have more wieght to throw around. and i'm quite big and i always feel i have alot of control over the bike because of it. Ash-Kennard
Marc Caisso!!!!!!!He's like 4foot and is one of the original UCI competition masters.defo.tall people have advantages, they have more room for tucking on big gaps, more leverage too. they can tuck on big sidehops. they could dab over their head if they were flexible enough.i think the only good thing about being short is that you will generally have better balance.BTW we are forgetting that lanky bitch stan shaw
Rusevelt
The General Tumb rule is that its far easier your todays generation of people to pick up a dedicated skill from an experienced, or master of that skill whom spent most of his/her life homing the techniques of that skill. Riders like Hans Rey and OT, pioneered the various trials techniques, we just observe, follow, and copy them. and some of us (very few of us) push the boundries of that technique further through our journey of riding.
