mods
yes you can hop that height, but no you can't control the bike at that height.. so does it count?.. depends on you view.. gaining the height, or gaining the height and keeping control of the bike? I'm with the later
Adrian
lets say you were in a comp, and there was a wall to finish the section which could only be made by a sidehop, and you on off'd it... ecause you couldnt stay on it, would you then argue with the judges sayin all this crap you keep coming up with? haha dought it

Has anyone seen my shoe?
BUT STREET RIDING COMES FROM COMPS.Basically I dont think they count if what the rider does is go on, then come off immediately. If, however, the rider goes on then due to lack of balance has to come of then I can understand it. To me that would suggest that they can make that height, just their balance wasnt quite right at that time. It still doesnt count though. They can look pretty cool though. dave85
.... STREET RIDERS....Danny.Or inch-chasers?Falling onto and off big walls is not street, its trials in its most basic and boring form.

Krisboats
I wonder what ashton would say.....I think he'd be cringing at how half decent riders could squabble over something so petty and something that obviously doesn't 'count'. modman
BUT HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT IT'S MAINLY STREET RIDERS THAT DO IT. WE DON'T CARE ABOUT COMPS OR COMP RULES.Danny.So would that putting your foot down during a move because you couldnt quite do it count because you dont go by comp rules??I think kids and street riders need to take a chill pill and stop throwing their rattles out of of their buggies and think of making sure you do that sidehop "properly" as more of a challenge, otherwise your just cheating yourself. Davetrials
i love how in denile all these boys who say it counts are.
lil Jsy Chris
I can't see how it would count. If you were in a competition and you did a sidehop but didn't keep control and had to jump back off it wouldn't count so why should it when you are riding anywhere else.Chris

Tomm
Of course it doesn't count. I think the poll speaks for itself, the trials community has agreed. Case closed. lol

El Cristoff
does it really matter? i ride to have fun. i think that 'on/off/ and on again looks sweet. some in there
Has anyone seen my shoe?
Look at the move in that vid at 43 secs in. I would say they counted as he can obviously make that height, he just did some other stuff afterward so it looked better. At 3:03 as far as im concerned, thats him not making the move.Danny Kearns, care to point out a case of an on/off in any video. Just so I can make sure im thinking along the same lines as you.
