Joe_Elding
is there any way of bypassing the hour and a half wait i have to do before i can download the next part of something on rapidshare? because it kind of deletes the point of having a faast download if it stilll takes a good 7 hours to get the whole thing.. endofreak
Anyone use Commodo firewall and Utorrent? I get good DL speeds but there's alway a red exclamation mark at the bottom of the Utorrent window and it only goes green if I set Commodo to allow all. Utorrent is set to allow in Commodo's application monitor and I have the port set to allow in the netowrk monitor. Anyone got any suggestions. Fixed Pantsâ„¢
Feckkk, for everyone that uses torrents, i wouldn't use them anymore, torrentspy, along with other torrent sites, might be forced to track people that use it, if you're gonna check the site out, i'd say use a proxy incase they're already doing it. Haz
Or don't use public trackers...
munkee
to be honest they have been tracking torrents from the outset, just the same as they did with napster etc and im sure in this day and age a proxy isnt going to make you that anonymous
Tomm
What about Peer Guardian? Anyone recommend that?
munkee
i used it for a while.. really didnt see what it did though :-p but maybe that was the point
Haz
I use PG. It works pretty well on the whole, but I don't have it just for torrents, I use it because I am DMZed on my home network, as such, I'd like to know who/what my computer is trying to connect to.But I was reading about it severely limiting speeds unless you know how to set it up. Dan Clark
I've heard good things about Peer Guardian. However, just use private sites
Wrayvon
I've been using torrents for long enough now, maybe its time to start using private sites. Anyone got any invites or whatever to some I'd be most grateful! (and sharing)
ManxTrialSpaz
Well, my PeerGuardian is currently blocking 967,034,923 IPs, so I guess it's alright Quite handy actually, can block HTTP access to stop me from loading up known bad sites by accident (google, redirection etc)
