jsy trials matt
Ridden both king and pro 2, pro 2 ***, my king got knackerd after 2 months.so why not claim on the 5 YEAR warrenty Edited December 28, 2007 by jsy trials matt
basher
so why not claim on the 5 YEAR warrentyThe warrenty covers workmanship only im pritty sure just like most other companies really. Its not that amazing of a warrenty if you think about it as nearly all companies do a workmanship garrentie incase theres a fault in the material or manufacture usually its a 12 or 6month one or something. But i should think if you tryed to claim 4 years after you had bought a king you wouldnt get far i should think and it would be very hard to prove there was a fault after 4 years or use.Like said chriskings are good and well made and do use a system where the hard you kick the less likely to skip, but as pointed out they do tend to skip half a pedal to a full pedal stroke when they skip. But they do have great engagements and people run them for years without skipping or touching them. But there are some downsides, QR versions axels tend to snap when riding trials and funbolts arnt compatiable with sometensioner with out adjustment and some have snap havnt they?. hub shells are alu and ive seen a few spoke holes been ripped open through overtight spokes, drive shells come are alu and thin sprockets like casset ones ususally dig into it and then rip through from the forces so a wide based sprocket is a good idea you can get steel driveshells though. Personally if i was buying a new one i would get a pro2 as its cheap and good quality and good amount of pickups.
Mike Winton.
But if they do skip then there scary.. They go nearly a whole rotation when they skip Lies mine never did it once complete different mechanism to other hubs !
Zordon
hub shells are alu and ive seen a few spoke holes been ripped open through overtight spokes,Have you seen any trials hub with steel or titanium hub shell?I also had a king hub. It used to skip once a day or twice, under light pedalling. After a year of use I managed to destroy the driveshell needle bearing. After warranty repairing I sold it and switched to monty freewheel. Skipped once on me by far. I saved quite a bit of money too. Edited December 28, 2007 by zordon

A month ago that I have it, but makes no sound Hey!You must get rid of that thick king lube inside. And relube it with much thinner oil(like finish line wet lube). But this has already been told hundreds of times here im sure.
