they probably have the most ammount of engagement point on a hub.

its less likely to skip the harder you push on the pedals due to the ring drive system.

they make a funky noise

they come in pretty colours

King's are horrible. The noise is just annoying, they do proper full-rotation skips.

The drive mechanism is different to the usual Spring/Pawl design on Profiles/ProIIs etc. It's hard to explain what it's like, but it's different.

They're really expensive because they're machined so well, just a shame they super-skip! <_<

I've had 2 and theyve never skipped and ive seen one skip once and it wasnt any worse than a profile one, and ive seen loads of profiles bearings go n all that shit, and when u take it apart everything goes everywere haha.

Mine has never done that. In fact I've had two, and neither have ever done that.

They're quite expensive, and clever people buy Pro IIs since they're half the price. But we all love the bestest, most shiniest pimp bike parts, and Kings are definitely that. Same with CK headsets really, even more than the hubs. No one NEEDS a CK headset, a £40 FSA one will be just as good really. It's just the pimp factor :D
