Captain Scarlet
I haven't riden one, but was considering getting one at one point.Compared to the Ashton 26" they are a joke.If your starting trials get a T-Pro, if your experienced and looking for a mod for your height then get a Zona Zip. poopipe
theres nothing wrong with onza - except that you aren't being raped by a frenchman or a spaniard when you buy one

max-t
They're quite possibly the worst riding mod bikes i have ridden. Please stay away from them.As mentioned , if your tall you should go towards to long mod frames like some of the deng models (Zoo! , Gu, Echo Being the main ones). However, if your as tall as you say, it would probably be a better investment in getting a long stock because these mod bikes really are small and you will be cramped up when riding it.If you were to look at getting a long stock bike one of the followig would be a good choice.Echo controlAdamant A1AortaZoo! pitbullOnza t rexMax...www.trials-uk.co.uk
Metal
If I were you I would get a stock im just over 6ft and find my python long a bit small.Onza T-rex would be a good starting bike, or you could wait for the new ashton stocks to come out? Captain Scarlet
Echo controlAdamant A1AortaZoo! pitbullOnza t rexMax...www.trials-uk.co.uk But as he was looking at an Ashton in he first place, I'm assuming his budget is low.If that is your budget and your looking for a stock, then a T-Rex is the way to go. Pagie
i would like to go for bigger wheels but i find i just can't adapt to them aswell. I feel comfortable on 24" as i have ridden a zoot which i really liked, but they are to much money at this moment. i have found an ashton 20" at just over £200 with maguras in good condition, although i would probably put my monty x-lite forks, front wheel and avid on it. wise move??? Jay-Inspired
hi well i ride a ashton justice 20 and personaly i love it im not just saying that iv rode my mates 05 t-mag and another friends 07 t-pro hated them both i think there way to short for anyone over 6 foot but my ashton seems just right im 6 foot exactly i admit it comes with s**t parts so if you get one it is a good idea to spend a bit to get it looking and performing well but once thats out the way there realy nice bikes to ride i know alot of riders that would choose my mod over there stock anyday but its mostly personal prefferance. i would say if youve got the money buy a long stock
Walleee
why is it that whenever anyone here says they are over 6 ft in height people immediately say get a python??Does no one realise that dani comas had been riding 'short bikes' for most of his life (only just started riding longer bikes over the past few years) and totally owned on them for ten years??Not sure how 'these mod bikes are really small,' there is generaly a differance of about 3 inch between stock and mod with regard to distance between BB shell and the centre of the headtube, so when considering that mod rider's use a longer stem, you can see how there is not really that much differance in reach, it's the wheel size which make the differance.'Metal' says he is over 6 ft and finds his python small, f**k knows what sort of set up he is using, he might be running a low rise stem and flat bars, which will make his bike feel wank, his information is useless, as he hasn't given enough info about his set-up.I think the best advice is to try as many bikes as you can, and learn how geometry affect's the ride of a bike. Has anyone seen my shoe?
Try to get a frame thats less then 2-3 years old, i've found the newer bikes ride alot nicer for tall lads (im 6'3) as they give you more cockpit room. And you dont nessicarily have to go long, but I wouldn't recommend the ashton mod. Pagie
Hate to say it guys but i have previously posted saying im changing from Mod to Stock, so was there much point in bringing this up? But then again it does save me a post as i have today ridden the stock for the first time in Leicester, few teething problems but i wasnt the only one! Come to think of it i think we all had problems. Cheers to Jonny Mc, Krisboats and Boumsong for being patient . I shall get pics up of bike soon and maybe some riding pics if joe can drag himself from his sick bed. So yes i will speak with everyone soon Cheers Pagie

rickycoleman
Something which really bothered be about the ashton 20" is that they still sell them with Vees, the frame felt quite flickable, but theres no way I'd spend 250 quid on a frame that didnt accomodate maggies.
