hI-OOPS-CAPS
Im just wondering what the best way to start learning these front taps are. Im at a height now where I get unwanted front taps and they put me straight on top. How did you learn to do yours?

hI-OOPS-CAPS
I dont plan on front tapping, nor commit to them. As my front wheel goes up it might clip the wall and even thats noticable. I just want them to be more consistentas for learning taps, all i'm saying is Hans Rey. (NO WAY)You saying they're not the best thing to do? Simpson
thats the best way to tap, if a wall is high enough to challenge you, you just tapp it naturally.... however if im going over 39" i genrally try to fit the tapp in...
gr8grumble
lunge into the wall, dip the front, or start slightly later, bang... woolah, providing you've pulled up as you tap... youll have it perfect...
simtradan
just learnt to front tap yesterday on some oak logs. hit them about 2/3 of the way up and then pulled up, makes it so much easier. Now i just need to do the harder thing and start doing it on something vertical

kyle-livesey
what you need to do is ride a steady speed pull up hit the wall 3/4 of the way up and push in to it. it sounds wrong but i can do 47 i learn of pauly and he can do like 52 thats what he tells me to. do

kenzo604
2/3?? thats pretty low?It is indeed, I personally would try to aim with the centre of the front wheel to hit about 2-3 inches below the top corner whilst learning. I would also advise that you don't learn on a sloped wall, it is bad practice as you learn to rely on the bounce of the rear wheel hitting the slope to get you up rather than the bounce from the front tyre. It may seem scarier to learn on a vertical wall but if you find a wall about 36-38 to learn on you should learn it fairly quickly.edit, When learning use a wall that has something behind it, grass or whatever so you don't have to keep your front end up.
