V brakes are useless unless you run a booster or two. two is better as it eliminates flex from each end of where the brakes bolted on. also i havent seen the onza ones but i can pretty much guarentee they have flex calipers and no adjustment on the levers, you want v brakes then spend a lot of money on them. if not get a magura and yeh i think onza have took the p**s by specing their new range with Vs personally.

at the start of 07 onza changed the colour of their bikes downgraded to v-brakes then put their prices UP

did any one else notice this?

i feel sorry for begginers bcoz their is no decent bikes around within a small budget!!!!

They are also now being distributed by Moore and Large so expect to be able to bikes/spares from anywhere that currently stocks haro, schwinn.

i disagree, because i use a avid sd5 on the front with standard pads an it works v well, i wouldn't bother running a booster, thats extra weight an a waste of money, maguras on the other hand i would run a booster.

As already stated, Vee's are not a down-grade but definately a cheaper alternative.

My rear onza Vee brake I had as standard worked as good as my rear Hs33, and the Vee didn't have any special bits, it was completely standard.

I think it is a bit of a bad descision, as I was only just able to get the T-Vee, as my parents are not used to the idea of paying so much for a bike.

One thing that cheesed me off a bit, and lots of people agree with me, is the fact how Onza make parts in such a way that new ones will need to be bought in the future.

An example of this is the V-Brake mounts, why not have 4 bolt mounts?, why have a trials bike with a thin wheel?, etc etc.

I think if Onza keeps their Mod bikes at this price or goes higher in the future, then they will lose in the competitive market aimed at beginner trialers.

my t comp is alrite.

i would have no problem what so ever with it, IF it had better hubs, they are poo. the cones come loose about 3 times a day lol

sealed hubs can be quite expensive though and if your newby to bikes the bearings+cones are easier to replace (Y) i don't see whats wrong with the onza range when you start out your never going to need some uber brakes a well set up vee is fine and the new cranks/freewheel is so much better than the acs claw+muscle mans you used to get. also vees are piss easy to set up and tinker with compared to maguras, i used to spend ages trying to set up my maguras vees are a piece of piss in comparrsion. (Y)
