Booster Brake Help

Dumb question, but what is a booster brake? How does it differ from a "regular" brake? Is it applicable to V brakes or disc or is it the difference between mechanical and hydraulic? I've noticed it in a few threads now.

Don't you mean brake booster?

A brake booster will stop frame flex from when you put the brakes on

So instead of your brakes pushing out the frame it should result in a stiffer brake feel and more power.

Thats if you mean a brake booster.

Yes, that's what I meant sorry.

But others, Do or it will snap.

Really? I come from a mountain biking background and don't believe I've ever heard of a frame snapping due to no brake booster. Lots of mtb's are made of aluminum.

Well you only get a vast amount of flex with magura's

I've never heard of frames snapping though as most trials frames are pretty stiff
