Tomm
I'm getting a new phone and I don't know whether to just get a normal contract from the high-street shop or go online with one of these dodgy cashback things. You've got to send the bill back after four months, then 6, then 7 then 9 or something. If you miss ANY, then you get no cashback. Basically they make it as difficult as possible. PlusI know I'm hardly the most organised person, I imagine I'd forget. Has anyone actually used one of these things and got their money back? fredrico
My mate had one of those contracts and in about 9 months he got 3 months cash back, dont quite know exactly how but he said it was the most confusing thing to do. ill speak to him now and ask what the actual problem was. Joey B
Yep I got myself one. there fine aslong as you don't forget to send off the bills otherwise they turn out stupidly expensive. But I haven't forgot one yet and im only paying £11 a month for 100min and 500txts, plus you get the free phone to go with it aswell!!!! Dr. Nick Riviera
i think it's been established that they're scams tomm, but if you're willing to take the punt it might be worth doing.
Tomm
It's annoying me, it really is. It's a £40 contract, 12 months but free for 7. So it actually works out at £16.70 ish a month which is awesome. I just know I'll forget or something
fredrico
just finished talking to my friend and he said they are fine aslong as you are willing to do the work. He admitted that missing the paybills was mainly his fault but only because hes a tard. So if your willing to do everything properly and keep check then go for it. Basically, the £16/month is ridiculously cheap, so they're obviously relying on people forgetting to send the right bills. Now I'm not the most organised person in the world, in fact I'm probably one of the least, so I think I would forget. I should probably steer clear, but it's sooooo tempting! Egg Fried Rice
ooooo! i can help you out.firstly my whole family uses thing type of contract, and most of them are from onestopphoneshop.com, which is very good from what my family members say.most my family uses 12 months contract from them with 12 months line rental with a free standard old nokia, so they pay nothing at all! been using them for 2 years now and nothing wrong what so ever.you just have to make sure you send off the bills, but be sure to photocopy then and send them recorded delivery. All very well from what i see, i also use this type of contract. we use onestopphoneshop.com and they have a very wide range of deals, check them out.JKEDIT: these things are called redemptions i think, its like they 'loan' money off customers, then pay them back later on and in return give you amazing phone deals. Fish-Finger-er
wish everyone would stop talkin bullplop, saying its a scam, when its not. its not a scam, my mums now on her third one.and hasnt payed a single penny for phone or contract in the 3 years. (1st year she was on a 900 anytime anynetwork, 250 texts, second year she was on a 1000 off peak, 50 peak and 100 text a month deal, shes now on 500 anytime anynetwrok minutes + 250 texts). i did it last year, also got all my money back, all i did was stick a reminder in my phone for the date the bill came on the month(was always 14/15th for me, so set a reminder for the 15th n the relevant months) pretty much just photocopied the bill and sent it off, now its a case of photocopying 4 bills and sending all 4 off, providing the reminders in your phone and you do it when you see it, it takes 5 minutes to do. can normally get it for a lot less than £17 a month, unless your gettin a dogs bollox phone. my mum just got a w850i for £0.00 a month with 500 anytime minutes and 250 texts, which she returned because it kept unlocking in her bag(wasnt a fault, there just easy to unlock, but they replaced it anyway, shes now got a z710i, which is what she wanted(as she wanted a SE flip phone) but could of got a krzr k1,samsung d900 or a bunch of other decent phones).basically its a not a scam, and its down to you, i reckon it took me no more than 15 minutes when i got my first bill through, then 5 minutes every 3rd or 4th month to stamp the stuff up and send it off, its just wether u think u can manage it,

Max Quinn
While we're on the subject (and this deal may be of some use to some), how the HELL is this so cheap?http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/kelkoo/basket....tk2eof4yzmxwpy3If you can't see the deal, its a k800i on the T-Mobile Flex25, that's usually £25 a month, and free insurance, free postage and all the usual....for £15 a month It's not one of these cashbacks either, just seems to be a straight monthly contract. That's a saving of £120.00!Your reduced line rental is available by redemption in 3 stages: £40.00 at month 6, £40.00 at month 9, £40.00 at month 12Still an awesome deal though (I'm considering that one with a Samsung U600)
