Try-all Rims

Recommended Posts

Erm I don't think they have changed since the last 5 topics you posted about them. For gods sake make your mind up! You wont be validated any quicker by posting things that really belong in the random small questions thread.

there not the same one is 5 mm wider haha but yeh they both look similar just one is wider ^_^ to be honest you should be bothered about the way they look its how strong the rim is and the smaller rim will increase the sidewall of the tyre you put on so there will be more spring to it. On the wider rim there will be less but will decrease the amount of folding when going onto certain objects.

hope that helped

Right lets see what half the forum say then shall we.

How many try-all rims have died ?

How many echo 07's have died ?

Echo WILL win. These new Echo rims are super super tough. Try-all are just made of cheese. Ive gone through like 6 of them in like 6 months. Wacked a echo 07 on and lasted me 2 month and was still going until i sold my bike.

Danny.

Your right try all ones are shit only people buy them are the colour coded people and weight weenies and the people who buy them because it says koxx or people smooth enough to not kill them.

Alot of people may have them but that because half the riders now go off looks when they are buying something and what colours you can get it in. So you grow up and stop talking rubbish.

tryall rims .........well ive had mine for about 6months ish and do tend to wack on a fairly beefy grind every month..........i have not had the echo rim yet but many many people have said they are as tough as nails.........

try all rims arent quite cheese......i only have one tiny dent in mine and its still perfectly true......

gay thing about echo rear rims are they only come in 32 hole only.........i run profile 36 hole.........so im sticking with my tryall.........2years of riding im on my second rear rim...

my try-alls have only died due to too many grinds. my last one lasted me about a year before we decided to deliberately finish it off...

they rae good rims, and i know people bum the new echo rims, and i will probably get one myself next

so i dont really care, its just stupid how people slag off koxx rims when they are actually a very good product!

Im slagging it off because its a shit rim they dent easy if you try anything big where you may not land right on top and a mate had a crack that went all they way round it, And i dont bum echo rims so im not being biased or anything.

deffo agree tom.......people do slag them off..........look at the best riders in the world.......i think you will find most run tryalls....... ^_^

mostly natty riders because try-alls are lighter and they can afford to put a new rim on every comp...

look at neil tunnicliffe, does some of the biggest stuff around and i wonder why he chooses echo rims

yeah grant ok fair enough...........but i know that koxx/tryall rims are not cheese i run them.......2 rims a year........meh not bad........i would try the echos out but the rear only comes as 32 hole drillings.........so il never know if they are any good.............tryall have not let me down so far and my grind stays verry sharp for at least a month.

They were made smaller to fit better in frames like the BT because if you had very wide rims and very straight crank arms like the middleburns they catch on the brake cylinders.

So they make them so there still wide and strong but at the ame time you can still use cranks like middleburn's.

Plus the strength of a rim depends on the rider.

If he/she is landing hard all the time and doesnt cheak the spokes or for cracks or grinded it too meany times.
