tom 20
get a decent hub (hope pro 2 wont skip)Erm yes i would get a pro 2 but they have been known to skip but not badly.A mate of mine got one and one day he went out to ride and all it did was skip but they he went back to it the next day and it was fine , one of jesus' miracles i guess But yes a pro 2 or king recommended p.s make sure the pro 2 is trials specific

simtradan
i had the same problem with my old hope hub, strip it down, i found most of my teeth shredded and the metal lying about to shred some more
Peaky
My hope has minced itself before now too! The ratchet ring which is pressed inside the hub got completely knackered! Sent it back to hope and the replaced it all though! I was looking at the DT swiss free ride hub the other day at the Bike show and that seemed to have a lovely freehub in it. Didn't get to ride with it or anything. I was just spinning it by hand and the engagement felt amazingly positive. Reckon it could be a great trials hub!Anybody had a go with one? Muel
I saw a FR bike when I was down at chicksands with a Ringle rear hub, it sounded like my tensile, but it was so loud it was unbelievable.
poopipe
instead of buying a new hub you could just clean your current one. spray a shitload of GT85 into the ratchetty bits so all the thick grease and dirt comes out, put it back together and ride till it happens again
Krisboats
My dmr used to do that... once it starts its on its way out. Mine used to last around 3 weeks before it started dying again. Good thing is though, they have a 2 year warranty, which folloshly covers trials riding. Take it to a local DMR dealer (distributor list on dmr site) and they'll fit a new freehub system for just the cost of labour.
