Pashley26
Right,This Really Poops Me Off.....I've been running the same chain for 5 years in october, and it's still PERFECT. surely it's better to have a little bit extra weight to have a chain that was run over by a road roller while they were testing it ???? I run a shadow conspiracy interlock v2...ITS AMAZING ! i've never once thaught, hmmm maby my chains too loose/tight, and it gives me AMAZING confidence, becouse i had a chain snap on my about a week afteri'd had my cartlidge removed from my knee and i couldn't walk for like 4 months andi couldn't' ride for 6.....PLEASE RUN MORE HALF LINK CHAINS !!!!!!!!!Jarrod

Sam Nichols
Or run a lighter chain and replace it on a regular basis?Chains aren't designed to last forever they are consumables. I'd be very concerned if you've been 'running the same chain for five years'. You shouldn't run a chain till it snaps, that's asking for trouble.Unless you mean you've been running it on your pub bike?
Pashley26
Ha ! well said, i really don't know......i just ask alot of stupid questions i guess ? but they can't be stupid questions cos' no ones got an awnser to them ?Do you not think i've got a valid point ? why people don't run half link chains so they can get perfect tension and have an insanley strong chain ?Or run a lighter chain and replace it on a regular basis?Chains aren't designed to last forever they are consumables. Ha no my pub bikes a longboard.......it just amazes me. maby i'm very lucky and have got a once in a lifetime chain or something ? becouse it's still like brand new ! it's perfectly tight and it dosen't have any excess horizontal movent, and it looks fookin awesome ? the only down-side i can see is that it's too wide to run gears with ? kid creole
yeah theres a thread called random small questions that you could post all these questions in ! most people run kmc kool chains cause they are strong enough , just change them every few months and its fine. i recommend you change your chain !! fair enough it lasted 5 years but don't you think your pushing your luck with it a little bit ?? Si-man
Your not going to have any front teeth soon when that goes.AS a general rule, replace the chain every 3 months if its being used hard.

NOW THATS ANNOYING ! at east my questions are not repeated every day ! Edited May 11, 2007 by Pashley26
