Hi guys, i am having a bit of a problem, i havea monty ti, which is either 05 or 06 and am trying to install a magura marta on the rear, But the 160 mm rotor i have is too big, only be a couple of mm though, anyone with any ideas, i thought 160mm was the standard for monty tis (after checking cleanbikes) but apparently its smaller.. Does anyone know what size i need? Urgently need a reply!

thank you

:S:S:S so why doesnt it fit! i dont understand!? could it be a manufacture defect? unless he is using the wrong marta caliper? i.e. the front? would that make a difference?

Also can u run disk brake levers upside down?

it could be somthing to with it being a font 160 caliper, rar calipers are normally +20, so a 160 rear calliper on the back would be a 180 on the fronr, and a front 160 on the rear would be a 140, so prehaps that could be it,

you cant run magura disk leavers upside down (N)

You can't run any open disc system upside down, or air gets in. Whether Marta's are open or not is the question.

With the exceptions of Hayes and Avid.

Is the rotor hitting the frame or caliper? If you're using a 160mm front caliper it won't work on the back unless you either run a 140mm rotor, or you get a +20mm adapter.

If it's hitting the frame, what hub are you using?

Or he could just work out whats wrong with his set-up? Discs that are the correct size don't rub for no reason, and 160mm is the correct size for a 221pr. All I can think of is its hitting the inside of the chain/seatstays where they curve in, which means either the rotors not a 160mm, the wheels hideously out of dish to the right, making the wheel be twisted left in the dropout, or the disc mount on the hub is positioned too close to the dropout.
