Hey people

Just asking for abit of help :)

Im rather tall 6ft 5'' and only 14 :( Looking to move to a stock as i have been recommended by a good friend :)

What would you recommend for around £300 would you go for a Phase 1.3 or keep a look out for a second hand bike?

I am hopefully at the weekend going to give it a go on riding my mates Adament A1.

Then i come to the point do i sell my Mod or try riding both ?

What would you recommend ? I enjoy riding mod but i got told i will get more out of Stock.

So far i think im going to get a Phase and keep my mod but if people can help i will be more than happy :)

Thanks alot for time/help (Y)

Ben

ive had a go of Matt Barlows Phase bike (not sure which one) but its pretty nice. I mean as a mod rider it felt awful, but its quite a nice stock compared to some others. However if your only 14 you'll probably have trouble getting the strength to move such beasty sized bikes around. In all honesty I'd wait a bit longer and progress more on the mod first and THEN switch

hey bud, if i were you i would stick to one bike, i think trying to ride both doesnt work out massively well for most people. You'll most probably love stock, i rode mod's for years and never tried a stock but this year i decided to change and i'm so glad i did, it's a much more rolling style (well for natural anyway). If i were you i would sell the monty and get the best new stock you can afford, as partz said your strength may not be great but this should improve with time and will give you the time to get your technique dialled. -Hugh

Stocks can be quite hard to ride especially when you're only 14. But once you've gone to stock you do get used to it. Also you might find that after having a stock for a quite a long time then you want to go back to mod (or you might not), but when you go from stock to mod everything seems so easy because you've been riding a big bike for a long time and suddenly you get on a small, light bike. It depends though, people have their oppinions on what's nice to ride but I also wouldn't own a stock and a mod because you'll find one nicer than the other.

Try 26 I think the extra length on the bike and the bigger wheels will allow you to use your full height advantage, then should you want to ride mod again you will probably find it a breeze.

I made the change from mod and im not tall , I am strong but still I find I can g et more power out of stock.
