Well just lately its happened about 5 times now in the past 2 weeks and it happened again last night. I'll be in the middle of a dream doing whatever then suddenly I'll realize im dreaming.

The first time it happened lately i was in the middle of doing something and i just thought to myself how did i get here i was in bed a minute ago..hold on a sec im dreaming. then i thought if im in a dream i can do anything so i just jumped up and started flying around.. it is pretty strange it used to happen to me when i was little to and it started again just wondering if it happens to anyone else or if im just weird >_<

damn that must be pretty awesome :P

But i read something about it on www.dreammoods.com (genius site)

Let me quote it for you:

Lucid dreams give us the ability to control our own dreams and steer them toward the direction we want. In the lucid state, we are more willing to confront threats and as a result, become more self confident. When we achieve lucidity, we can use it as a tool to improve our sports game, to rehearse a speech, to fulfill our fantasies, or to solve a problem in our waking life. In fact, some athletes utilize their lucid dreams to practice their tennis serve, golf stroke or bat swing. Even in our day to day life, we can use lucid dreams to ask the boss for a raise, prepare for a first date, overcome phobias, get over writer's block, etc. The application of lucid dreams is limited only to your imagination. Lucid dreams can help us visualize and rehearse the event in our minds before it actually occurs.

Because brain activity during the dream state is the same as during a real life event, what you "learn" or "practice" in your lucid dream state can be seen as training and preparation for the real thing in the waking world. Our neuronal patterns are already being conditioned.

At least half of all adults have had at least one lucid dream in their lifetime. Many have reported having lucid dreams without even trying. Often flying is associated with lucid dreams. However with practice, lucid dreaming can be learned and can be achieved at your will.

I dont dream often but I usually have pretty good control of them when I do - unless it's a dream about werewolves which really shit me up and for some reason rob me of my magic dream driving powers

To see a werewolf in your dream, indicates that something in your life is not what it seems. It is symbolic of fear, repressed anger, and uncontrollable violence.

Even though I am just copying this stuff, I feel extremely smart :P

I can never control my dreams, in most dreams I have i'm falling from a very great heigh and i'm like ''f**k I'M GONNA DIEEEEEEEEEE'' just before I hit the ground, and then I wake up :P

I'm always powerless in my dreams :(

Feels good when you wake up though :P

Yeah, I've had a few dreams where I know it's a dream so I kinda go nuts and just do whatever I fancy.... literally ;)

When I was young and I had nightmares I used to be able to wake up if I wanted to, I'd know it wasn't real and that I could escape so I'd close my eyes in the dream and it'd all go away and I'd wake up. But I dont have nightmares any more, all my dreams are pretty cool these days, driving fast cars and fooling around with girls and stuff, my mind is very simple like that (Y)
