Jsy Taylor
I was thinking of buying a break booster for my back brake, and wondered if they actually made any difference. Are the really worth the money?Taylor
sysuperfly
They are all good as they make for a stiffer feel to the brake. But be sure you get the right width booster e.g. Ashtons need a standered width and koxx require a R and B booster which is wider. which frame have you got and is it for a v-brake or maggie? Grant H
i havnt noticed a great increase in power, theyre only if you want a stiffer feel.mine went quieter aswell with a brake booster (due to less vibrations)so if you want a louder brake dont get a booster
Gandalf the Yellow
get one if you can see your seatstays flexing out when you pull the brakes, otherwise save your money and your bike will be lighter too..steve
Trialdan
My frame was flexing alot so i got a a 4 bolt booster for the rear. It has stopped most, but not all the flex.As for the brake feel, it doesnt feel any different but it has made it quieter as said before.Mines carbon fibre so weight isnt worth thinking about. Dave Anscombe
i took my booster off........much better......although they offer great protection for the cross over maggie line
