Why Trials?

Recommended Posts

When i was a little kid i always loved doing silly things on my bike :). When i was like 6 i was going realy fast into a curb to see how far forward i could get jumping off the bike

but stupid as it was i hit the lapmpost :(.

I saw people rideing trials and just had to try it so i did when i was like 10 and never stopped :)

Even the cuts injuries havent made me stop it makes me do it more :)

saw some of my mates doing trials, so i baught a saracen mad 2 zero for 40quid, got some maggys for it, rode that for several months, then i moved onto an onza t-comp which ive had for around a year, only thing left of the standard bike is the frame(wont be alive much longer unfortunatly due to dents and cracks :P) and soon ill be on the monty!!

1 year and 4 months put into 1 paragraph ^^

I used to try to do it on my jump bike, and I was enjoying it more than jumping, so I decided a trials bike was in order.

Bought a second hand T-pro, cracked the frame in the first 6 weeks, had 2 months off to save up for a new frame, as I had spent every penny on my T-pro. Bought a Zona Zip frame, upgraded a load of the bits, bought my first Echo Lite frame (06 short), continued to upgrade, eventually with a rear disc and the adapter I made. I rode that for about 4 months, spotted another Echo Lite, (07 long), for sale that seemed a bargin for the spec, bought it, then changed the frame, tracked down the matching original Monty Hope from the set, got an 08 Lite Disc frame and a couple of other bits, and it has remained the same since january, apart from some new grips I just put on. I love them :D

There is one part that I have kept for the whole time, my Tensile freewheel. I bought it soon after getting the T-Pro and I still have it, it has skipped about 3 times, and that was only those puffy, one pawl skips, not the full blown crank jumping round jobby.

That's all in 1 year and 7 months. :P

My family have been involved with motorbike trials for three generations, I've ridden motorbike trials for 18 yrs and have always dabbled in biketrials from an early age. Had several triple clamp fork (Old school) Monty's when I was younger. I'm not as good at biketrials as I am at trials but just love riding, keeps me in good shape for the motorbike trials aswell.
