Davetrials
i seem to be of a very select few who has my rear brake lever quite high and my front really lowi find it helps on loads of things, especially tucking, but people call me silly for doing so, i dont give a shit what they say im just interested if anybody else is the same Edited May 7, 2007 by Davetrials
Krisboats
When the bikes in the comfiest back wheel position my levers are horizontal with the ground
Matt_Tupman
I leave mine lose and go for the floating leaver position, really though Dave what? Just put them normal
Token
My rear lever is slightly lower than my front because when your on the rear wheel your hand position tends to change, so I compensate by doing that. Doing it other way seems totally looney you big mentalist!
Planked
i hate having the levers different height, seems to put me off balance only slightly but noticeable. just when i pull the front up.
Tomm
I think it's a reasonably sensible idea - When you need the most front brake power (gap to front?) your weight is gonna more forward so your body is in a different position so it makes sense to have the lever in a different position. But I tried it and I didn't like it
hugh_b
yep, back high, front low. I have seen quite a few top riders like this. It helps whe your super tucked and only need the back brake eg-tapping etc.
Danny Swindlehurst
front low back high
PaRtZ
ducko does it too. feels weird. to be honest if it was on my bike, id think something was wrong lol
Nick Garland
I like to have mine the same level, as someone else said if they are different it puts me off balance. Its another one of those personal preferences really, I doubt that having it a certain way will make you a better rider.
trials rules
I would have thought that would mean that your hands would have to be twisted differently slightly, which means lack of grip and more prone to injury, at the end of the day, if it works, do it! future orange 660
i know its not trials related, but take a close look at how lance armstrong sets his levers. cant do any harm at all.. just means you can fit the bike better

N.Wood
Yeah i've had my front lever lower than my rear for years, saw one of the Coustellier bruvas doing it in... 2003 and have done it ever since.

Davetrials
it wasit makes f**king good sense for sidehops..i tuck to the left so my front arm will be stretched right out, so if i have my lever kinda high, i still have plenty of grip.
