SCOTTY___
Right, bought a dengura and i asked for echo red's to come with it.Now, ive got them on a smooth rim with tar atm, there OK without tar and good with, but they wear tar off fast and its annoying and it seems im applying it every 5-10mins...so, ive looked on select, tarty and Trials-uK also looked in the Pad-review thread ( no luck ).. select, tarty and Trials-uk recomment a light but sharp grind...so has anybody tryed it? how was the wear life?also whats the best angle / cutting, grinding disc to use for this type of grind?thanks in advance,x
Danny Kearns
Abdab runs that set up but without the Dengura. His brake is a beast.According to beau. The Dengura's lack alot of power and dont match up to the standards of a Magura.I could be wrong but try a Magura with that set up and it will be beasty.Echo reds and grind = NO.Danny. Nick Garland
If you want your pads to last more than 1 ride, I suggest a dead grind. I am using a dead grind and already I can see they have worn, they are really soft but nice pads.
br3n
best pads for a grind which you actually want to last are harder pads, try plazmatic CRM's or even zoo pads.Personally a grind is a grind, just make sure you grind round the opposite way the wheel rotates (so you get a more aggresive grip)

Nick Garland
Yeah I have tried echo red pads on a water bleed as I am currently running one. They are good and as I said above if you want them to last more than 1 ride I reccomend a slightly dead grind, a fresh grind will rip these pads apart.Glad I bought a second pair at the bikeshow from tarty's for £10.
