Shaun H
Double butted - theoretically stronger, don't deal with knocks so wellPlain guage - better at taking a beating but more vulnerable to snapping at the head/thread.

RobinJI
Get DB, I'm yet to snap a DT DB spoke on any bike, and that includes the set that chopped my LX mech into 7 pieces, only kinked one spoke slightly!

RobinJI
Zero dish though isnt it?or am i talking out my arse?Nope, still coming out of the mouth, they are zero dish, with the same size flange both sides. (well the 06's definitely are, and I'm pretty sure the only change was the bulge on the hub shell around the drive ring.
Dan6061
Ahh, The flanges are the same size, but on one the holes are slightly lower down.I remember from when my mate built his onto a DX32 rim, needed slightly different length spokes... Not really enough to warrant 2 sets of spokes.
