Do You Prefer To Ride Uci Or Biu Rules

UCI, i like to think i don't do as much damage to stuff that way, obviously i mess up and kill the odd wall but it can't be as bad as going to bash intentially + such.

Trials is about expression for some people. Who has the authority to place rules around a sport that is about freedom of expression. UCI oer BIU I dont care I just ride any way I can ( cos i'm shite really). But no rules

uci for natural, anything goes for bmxy street, trialsy street needs to be no bash or pedals though.

I dont like going to bash, on anything... however if its a rock section i might give it a try.

So i'd say uci for myself.

uci for deffinate, anyone wanting to compete with uci rules should get themselves to the ymsa, not nly are they the most fun trials to ride but they are the ony ones with uci rules in the country. the sections are well thought out and set out by people who have a huge amount of world level uci experience. get your selves to them there ace!!

Might be a stupid question, but what happends if you go to bash/pedal in a uci comp? does it count as a dab?

And I like uci style aswell, going to bash just doesn't feel as satisfying as getting up something with the whole bike

im a true biu bandit! i try and stay off my plate as much as i can but have got using my pedals down to a tee at the moment.

Watching uci is more of a spectacle but thats because the sections are very different.

A BIU World championship section is such a technical thing doing it uci is almost impossible.

A little white tear comes from my trouser snake when I see people riding UCI on rocks .....mmmm it's good!

I am abit too crap to say to myself, 'ok I'll do this bit UCI' as I almost always go to bash at some point.

Has to be UCI, for two major reasons:

1. It looks so much better, an it doesn't make your chain dig into your chain stay and make nasty big gouges in it.

2. After cracking a T-Pro, and thinking, "I'll get the strogest Mod next, a Zona Zip!", I cracked the b*****d bashplate mount and I am worried about it damaging my frame more. I could get it welded, but I hate bash so much that I am going to get a longer bb, a bash ring and run it without. I am also going to chop the mounts off my frame with a big angle grinder. That'll teach it.

One question, how does a UCI rider crack a bashplate mount? That tells me that the mount also supports the chain stays, so maybe I will get it welded, but get the welder to weld the holes up at the same time?
