Anodized Spoks Dose It Mack Them Weaker

hi i am saving up for my new weel and a want Anodized spoks. but my freind says that it macks them weaker becouse it burns the metal off. so has anywone had them and dose it mack any Difference need to know

it shoudlnt really make them weaker.

i ran some red ones on my bmx for ages looked nice and i didnt notice anything.

also its wheel, make, spokes, anyone :)

i have probally got some blatent spelling mistakes as well

but oh well :P

anodising would require aluminium spokes wouldn't it? which would mean your wheel would break because aluminium is piss weak.

however, spraying your steel spokes pretty colours is a good idea

You're probably better off doing it after building the wheel unless you want to pay out for powdercoating cos the build process will scratch buggery out of them (well, it did when I built mine anyway)

and do you mean buying coloured spokes, or doing it yourself??
