BenLeacock™
Do the new echo brakes live up to there price ? They look nice and seem to have a more advanced spec, they have the same TPA adjustment to the Magura HS33 and neatly hidden away. The weight seems to be very light as well at only 311g per brake, including 4 bolt mounts. The magura is close at 315g per brake, including 4 bolt mounts. The magura was always the daddy of trials rim brakes. Has echo managed to knock it off its perch ? What you say ? The materials is also special fully CNC machined construction (not cast like other rim brakes) makes them super strong and stiff. Magura or Echo *** ? BenLeacock™
If you look on tarty, a the avid ultimate lever for vee's is more expensive than a full maggie.JKYer i saw that, is there a reason why ? Ben- As favoured by many trials riders from all across the world, Avid's Ultimate brake levers sit at the top of their product range and rightly so!- Full CNC machined construction ensures the best possible stiffness and strength, while still making the levers as light as they are pimp!- Relatively large lever blade is nicely rounded for a very comfortable feel.- Patented adjustable leverage allows on-the-fly adjustment without tools, meaning the rider can dial in the exact feel and performance they want.- Lever pivot runs on two sealed cartridge bearings to ensure the lever doesn't develop play and runs extremely smooth!- Split lever body clamp makes removal and fitting much easier than having to remove your grips!- Stealth black anodised finish with highly detailed laser etched logos.- Weight: Only 76 grams! That is a amazing lever Ben
