drink-riding is a confidence booster :turned:

steve

i like to sink 2 or 3 pints over an afternoon at the skatepark, everything seems to flow better. any more and things get a little hairy for me - just like driving lessons really.

I hope that was sarcasm.

'cause it's plain stupidity

Well yeah, I kinda agree but not in this case. He is after all in the top 20 best riders in the world (came 16th in WC?) and frankly speaking I doubt anything that he showed in that vid was remotely challenging for him. It's as if somebody complained at you for not wearing a helmet while having fun on a 1ft wall. Don't mind the drinking either, as long as they enjoy it and have a fairly adult attitude towards it, it's fine. What I wouldn't approve of is little kids getting hammered and doing drop gaps without any protective gear.

I don't agree at all.

It's not like you plan to fall of your bike and hurt yourself, do you? 16th in WC or not, it can happen anytime, to anyone

Don't forget about the guy that smashed his head against a curb and died last summer.

I'm also thinking about the kids watching this vid. He's a beast of a rider and there's people looking up to him, but the attitude "drinking and not wearing a helmet" might influence the little kids trying to get into the sport, thinking it's OK to ride without a helmet, when it's NOT.

You have a point on the curb thingy

But you are a bit overreacting about the influence he has on kids..

This is just a short video posted on the internet, not alot of kids will look up to him or something

When this video would be cast on television and stuff, then I would agree on the influence part

He's made loads of vids, long and short ones. All without helmet.

Yea but it's not something he publishes to the public or something, I can understand your point, but almost everyone who watches his video's are trialsriders who visit forums, and they have been told alot of times to always wear a helmet so he really won't influence them

I hope you understand since i'm crap at explaining things
