adam trials
Rite i have one quick question i have just ground my rim hoping for great breaking power. I have standard black magura pads and i cannot realy tell much of a difference with my breaking. I need to know if i just need to wait until the pads have bedded in or if i need new pads. Thanks in advance, Adam.

Grant H
magura black pads are really quiet a bad compound... have £18..??? get some blue rock pads.. they are by far the most powerfull awsome pads i have ever used on a ground or tared rim.. and they last for ages as well.. just set the brake up right Ryan..mine lasted for a couple of weeksfirst week they were great, then after the second they wore down so fast you could see shreddings of the pads all over the tire and rim.then they wore all wonky and went silent.they do on the other hand provide amazing power.i do prefer my plazzies now, much more bite and alot more noise and they really do last for ages Edited May 2, 2007 by Grant H
Token
Your magura blacks wont last long on a grind because they are a hard rubber compound and not polyurethane like most modern after-market pads.Head over to the Pad Review thread and read what everyone recommends in there, you'll get an unbiased view then. leigh_verner
Ive just got some blue rock padds from the bike show, and belive me they are better than every different type possible . But you will find this when you have tried them all from Koxx Blox to Kool stops. In My Opinion though the best three pads are:1.Rock Pads2.Plazmatic CRM3.Koxx Bloxx
