Bent Axle

There must have been something wrong with the axle I reckon, or it wasn't done put together properly. There's no real way that someone beginning trials can destroy an axle in a little over a week. If you get a new one fitted, that'll be the end of it I reckon (until you upgrade that is - it always happens, no-one is satisfied with their bike until it's completely pimped out :turned: ).

10er max. inlcuding labour @ ur bike shop. trust me. been there, done that. @ least 10 times (including my jump & cummuter bikes).

I'd imagine he'll have got it sorted now seeing as its over 2 months down the line. If he hasn't he'll at least have time to do it now uni's finished.

One point that didn't come up:

He has a steel axle so it is lightly to bend a little more before snapping. So personally the best thing to do would borrow or get the bike shop to tighten the cones with the locking nuts properly that way it shouldn't come loose. Also as this wheel is still ride-able after this quick fix he can get on with riding untill he really needs to upgrade.

I think some people need to learn to be appreciative of parts these days.
