Help Improve UK Mountain Bike Events and Win a Signed Jersey from the Athertons!

As part of the biggest study of its kind ever carried-out you can help shape the future of mountain bike events in the UK and win a signed jersey from the Team Animal-Commencal!

Just visit www.mtbproject.co.uk and click on the link to the questionnaire for your chance to win. It takes about 3 minutes to fill-in and your responses will be used to better inform event organisers about what you want from mountain bike events.

Dan Atherton said "This could be really useful to the future of mountain biking in the UK, we're happy to be involved and support the study."

The study is being conducted by Dan Harmon from the Warwick Business School at the University of Warwick with funding from the Higher Education Funding Council for England. Dan is currently travelling the country interviewing event organisers from all disciplines and analysing event participation data from the past three years. The questionnaire forms the third part of the study and is designed to gauge the opinions of riders themselves.

The study has already received support from many, including organisers of the Chain Reaction National Points Series, World Champs, SDA Series, Scottish XC Series and numerous others. Ian Warby, Senior Off-Road Development Officer for the CTC said "This is a great step forward for our sport, there is a real lack of concrete research on particpation in mountain biking and this has the potential to provide what we need to help drive forward the development of mountain biking in the UK."

Apologies for cross-posting this on other forums you may use, but I think trials-forum.co.uk is an important one because I currently have a very low number of trials riders who have completed the questionnaire.

Admins: I would appreciate it if you could move this topic to the main section where it is likely to be seen by more people.

Many thanks,

Dan Harmon :) Edited by danharmon

The questionair hasn't been very well thought out in some cases. I filled it out, leaving some areas unchecked becuase they didn't apply to me. And when i clicked finish, and was told i couldn't leave them unchecked, and when back, i had to start from scratch.

Maybe an N/A option?

Yes mate, that's me. I still ride ;) Craig Taylor is it? How're you doing mate? Drop me an email on dan.harmon@gmail.com to avoid cluttering up this forum with personal messages.

JT!: Which part of the questionnaire has not been well thought-out? Could you please email me with the details as I've had over 650 people complete the form without any problems so far.

Cheers,

Dan
