omgnoseat
Well I just put my second video together, took quite a whileMy riding isn't anything huge or special (yet ), but I would apreciate it if people would watch itI tried to create a relaxed atmosphere to the video, I hope it workedI have been riding for 1 and a half year now, and this was filmed over 4 daysAlso note that this video was filmed while i was riding with a leaking rear magura marta and loose forks, which wasn't very helpfull So here it is:- tv.isg.si : http://tv.isg.si/site/filebrowser/Meteor''Martino Trialvideo complete.wmv''I hope i uploaded it the right way - youtube: [will be done in a few minutes]Comments and tips how to improve riding/editing is appreciated Song: Just a Phase - Incubus Edited April 25, 2007 by Meteor~
wunderboy
I need my fill of vids that aren't over the top. I often find it more inspiring to watch people in the process of getting good, rather than already being TRA, CLS, Danny, or Neil. I am very grateful to you for this vid, and I hope you won't wait too long before putting out another. You get extra cool points for riding a Monty! On a construtive criticism note, you should maybe side up to the other side... Edited April 26, 2007 by wunderboy
Matthew_Gibson
Nice vid! only this, your sidehops look strange. beause you hop the 'wrong' way. But i guess you dont wan't to bugger up disk rotors. Keep it up!
omgnoseat
Yes I know about the sidehopping to the wrong side, but this will indeed protect my rotorsI've tried to learn sidehoping, but i just can't get the movement, a curb is the highest i got But i'm perfectly fine with this way, except for the hard falling when I don't make itThanks for the reply's @wunderboy:here is my first video, from half a year ago, so you can see progression if you like
Luke Drewery
On a construtive criticism note, you should maybe side up to the other side...Nice vid! only this, your sidehops look strange. beause you hop the 'wrong' way. But i guess you dont wan't to bugger up disk rotors. Keep it up!Why? he is clearly good at them the 'wrong' way. So why bother changing. I have found that people sidehop fine the wwong way until people start saying it is wrong and put doubt it their mind so they stop progressing with their sidehops. I used to sidehop bar height quite easily to the left and I have my left foot forward, and I was quite happy learning them that way until people started saying it was wrong and that you could catch your foot going that way, and from then on everytime I went for a sidehop I worried about catching my foot, and because I was thinking about it, it often happened and therefore my sidehops got worse where as before I had NEVER done it and was progressing quite nicely. Also look at Neil T, he can sidehop 55"+ and he goes the 'wrong' way. Just do it whichever way feels comfortable (Y)/Anyway, back to the video, some really good riding there mate, very smooth too . Keep it up, I look forward to the next one. wunderboy
I like that older one, too. Thanks for the extra link! Also, thanks for not getting upset about the sidehop comment. I wasn't picking on you, and I don't think you look odd hopping to that side, it's just that I cringe at the thought of falling like that

Endohopper
Very good Martino , you're learning fast . I was already impressed by how rapidly you seemed comfortable with sidehops when Julian introduced you as a beginning rider . Dutch trials scene represent ! Dutch trials scene represent !Hehe thanks, i was still doing the other still (the one how i sidehop over the rope in the first clip), I have been doing the rear hopping sidehop style for a month now, not fully comfortable with it yet, but seems better for competitions, still mainly riding on the street now, but I'm planning to do get more into comps as I get better Speaking of competitions, I hope you can make it to the rideactive event at tillburg 6 may

Greetings
Nice one Very chilled music and editing which is a nice change to the average videos posted on this forum. You're also getting much better. One piece of advice, try gapping from the edge of the wall. It might seem really hard at the beginning but it really helps later on

It might seem really hard at the beginning but it really helps later on yea I did notice that I do take off quite far from the edge, I will practise some ''pinch'' gapping from curbs so I can get the feel of it
