first is it adsived that i should remove the headset when about to use Nitromors? and the bottom bracket for that matter?

the T-rex comes with that internal headset and was wondering how you remove it?? because u'd usally knock the cups out with an external one but the cups are the head tube?

also do i have to remove stickers first?

any help would be great

when i stripped my t-rex i just left the headset in and the bottom bracket in cause I'm to lazy to bother taking them out and nothing happened to them , just try to not get any on them but even if you do its not a big deal. As for the stickers they are lacquered over so you wont be able to pick them off but the nitromorse takes it all off easy.

For an integrated headset you don't remove the headset in the conventional way.

All you can remove are the bearings & any seals or top caps that come loose when you remove the fork.

Also it's probably worth stuffing the bearing seats with tape or something to try keep the Nitromors from doing anything to the way the bearings fit.

Then again there's probably not much fear of damaging it really.

Actually, its not an intergrated headset, and yes, you can knock the cups out.

I've done 2 t-rex's and didn't take the headset out on either, and left my bb in on mine as well. The headsets and bb's are usually anodised so are too much for the nitromors to do anything to. Take the headset bearings and stuff out though, the cups'll be fine but i can't imagine the rubber seals will like it.

(Y) get a small peice of wood that fits through the steerer tube, because using a screwdriver damages your headset. then whak it with a hammer. done it to a t-pro and a t-mag, works like a external headset.

The internal headsets have cups too, there just internal not external.

yeah i see now, i managed to remove the head and bottom bracket with out to much hassle.

i've stripped both the forks and frame and cleaned them up but i thinking about sanding the lot to smooth it out then laquer the frame and get some grey blue pastel colour :S not excatly. what you think

and about the ride sunday sam, still waiting to send my rear wheel off to get it serviced by tarty. and gotta order new cranks :( so hopefully next week it'll be ready (Y) but i might come out anyways and have a go on my rock ropper lol

cheers
