Token
Evening all,Ive finally decided to grab life by the balls, yes I am that extreme!!! And go to rear disc. WOAH! What a man I am.Anyway enough of that, Sintered or Organic? They'll be for my BB7, after looking through the benefits of both I'm still not sure on which I should have. Maybe there's not even a difference between the two in 'real' life. There must be somebody in the know that can advise on this minor dilemma. Token
i would say 'Organic' .... Great.Any reasoning behind that?
Ali C
I have been using the organic pads with great results, but saying that...the standard pads arnt shit either.
Anodised Adamant
i know this is stupid but they last longer and they give the brake a bit more of a bite when riding
Token
Thanks guys, ordered organic. Rear disc here I come!
basher
Standard one that come with it in my opinion.edit: just read you ordered some pads so you may want to ignore me. Edited April 23, 2007 by andy h
Krisboats
I've always found sintered pads to be far better than organic.Sintered pads are soo good they aren't recommended for breaks that didn't originally come with sintered pads (only really applies to xc/dh though)
Guest
organic ***.
RomanC
Never really tried organic but semi-metallic is supposed to perform better in the wet as it is more porous and can let water through much easier. I personally really like Kool Stop pads for BB7. Very grabby and seem to last forever. The key with Avids is to correctly set them up and break in your pads/rotor
