simtradan
If the brake works allright then does it really matter about the sound. Just wait for the pads to bed in a bit, if your rims are smooth then it might be an idea to go over them with a bit of sand paper.
nmt_oli
Is the rim clean? as contaminants can cause brakes to squeek, as does puttign tar on.You may also want to toe in the pads slightly. this means you dont set the pads up dead flat with the rim, but set them so that the front of the pad hits the rim just before the back (i use a credit card under the back of the pads to get it the same on both sides).this helps reduce vibration, and noise.

jandamna
hehe, you really shouldnt worry about break squeek, i think we all get it, it should go away after about a week or two once the pads have worn down abit./jan
JT!
A squeaky brake is a working brake.
ryan360
Its probably just the brake pads because ive replaced brake pads before and they have squeeked they might just need wearing in a bit.
T_PRO
Once, I applied some of that Monty brake spray a bit too much and the next day my brakes were so noisy I had to go back home. But yeah, try using sandpaper to take off a layer of the pads.
