*PHIL*
Hi, Does anyone know of any websites that specialize in the technical and mechanical side of trials? Like how to fix/tune up your bike and fit new parts. I'm getting my first trials bike this week and i don't want to be talking it to my local bike shop every few days. Also is there any site that has a glossary of technical trials... stuff... Like what certain things are for like brake boosters and other stuff that may not be obvious..Thanks!Phil
Al_Fel
There's a lot of info here mate but it might take a bit of time looking for what you want. Trials bikes are pretty simple to be honest though it wont take you long to get into the swing of things.

As well as there being multiple guides, walkthroughs, explanations and what not in the frequently asked questions section.
ScotchDave
The guys you ride with will probably know a fair bit, assuming you have people to ride with, your LBS will be able to do most stuff, but a quick search, or look in the FAQ should sort most things. basher
If you can use a allen key you will be fine most things on a trials bike are just a case of screwing things on. If you want to do as much as you can on you bike you will need to buy a crank remove, bottom bracket tool, a hammer, allen keys, some grease. They are the general basic things you need to keep your bike going and maintained. But this is your best place for information have a look in the faq section if your unsure on something or post a topic. One think i would say is never force any bolt ect if its not going in right workout why and then try again.oh and a angle grinder is handy to have for bodging and grinding your rims and cutting forks down

N.B. You need a second tool to get the bottom bracket (BB) out or put a new one in (just in case you needed to change BB along with the cranks).
