I think im running at about 40 PSI which is fairly hard Edited April 22, 2007 by shogun_gimp
max-t
I'm sure you mean tyre pressure?
Echo-Scott
It depends how heavy you are. If you are heavy you will want a higher pressure but if you are light you will want a lower pressure.

Dani.
Look, tyre pressures vary between every rider because of different weights, preferences, etc... Just for info, I pump my tyres up hard enough so that I don't rim out everywhere and dont feel the rim against the ground when jumping off small drops. Edited April 22, 2007 by Dani. Orgun_Donor
As a kinda guidanceIm running 16PSI up front and 18PSI in the back. I like the squidge it gives, and the extra grip.
danny_cartledge
Well...i think that low pressures are for sidehops and natural, whereas slightly harder pressures are for backwheeling, taps, gaps. And it dunt really matter for drops!I guess its just what feels comfortable, mine are usually quite low.Danny...
T_PRO
I'm 12 stone and run the tyres quite hard, I find that I can hop on the rear wheel alot easier with the tyres a bit harder, but thats just my opinon.

sundance
Dont worry about what it is in PSI i never look wen i pump up mine ever i just keep going till its pretty hard but soft enough to push in a little. Personal preference it really is.
Hendrix
just have give in the tire man!My mate Steve's bike is ridden with barely any air in the innertube - but he's light.I ride fairly hard, but with a lot of give. But I'm a fat boy
danny_cartledge
low pressure for natural? u ever riden natty?Yeah, i have ridden natural, and i find that hard tyres dont grip at all on rocks, whereas low pressures grip really well, and most people i ride with would agree!Maybe i should be asking you that question...Danny
MadManMike
Perserue? That's not even close lol!Anyway, there is no real pressure - it's common sense - if you're bike feels like you're riding drunk, pump it up. If it feels like you're riding with concrete wheels let some out?
poopipe
if you're bike feels like you're riding drunk, pump it up.not the best analogy - I often ride drunk

tomtrials
i just run a high pressure and for natural a soft tyre you would be all over the place really hard to control
Token
Soft works mint on rocks, bouncy and grippy, exactly the things I'm looking for when I'm riding across a section.Surely hard tyres just slip down rocks. Anyway why wouldnt you want to be bouncy.
