Joe Aston
is it a standard spec one. Nothing added not even some decent pads. If so new pads probably a booster. Maybe some new bars. Or try and save a little more and get a pro2. Joe

But I only have about £100 at the moment. Cheers Aha I remember putting up this exact thread once.Firstly you need new Cranks, the ones on it are a pile of piss. Go for a set of 22t middleburns, second hand around £35 - £40.Secondly Go singlespeed at some point - shouldn't be too costly, keep the derailer jsut get a cog and some spacers, I reccomend 22:18New pedals would be handly - I killed the vp's in not long atall.A new chain. All that should come in at under £100 if your cost effective.Such a nice frame the old T-Rex, I've got one and its cains the likes of my mates Toxin 2.Hope this is useful. Ali C
maybe just save the money and replace bits as they break/wear out...theres nothing worse than spending all your money and then have somthing else break and not be able to afford to fix it. Booster isn't 100% necersarry at first but for the record Echo 4 bolts suit the bike well.maybe just save the money and replace bits as they break/wear out...theres nothing worse than spending all your money and then have somthing else break and not be able to afford to fix it.Good point. But to be fair bad stuff might happen. For example before I upgraded my Spec 1.When I tried to gap and the casette snapped.Tried to gap and the stem snapped off midair.Chain snappage - very normal but shouldnt have snapped when it did.Spending 3 weeks riding with the front cog rubbing on my frame because the whole crank bent falling to bash.Guess thats some explanation to why I said the parts I did.Phil
matt rushton
Pro 2 deffinaltey. Could get one seconde hand for under £100 also some new brake pads.Matt Rushton
RR_Trials
New pads, and save the rest, no point spending if you don't need to.

(second hand) then youwill have money spare
