Ash-Kennard
at the end of the day it was just an idea and why slag it off there was no need for it and it wasent my first post all im saying is why post anything if you think its that gay constructive criticism is ok but that went too far Adamhaha, you think thats harsh, lmao. you know your idea is stupid as fook, at least look at the guy on OTN who wedged an extra pair of pads into his vee brake so they braked on the tyre, that would work and is simple as hell. Rusevelt
No disrespect Adam for expressing your idea, but you did title this post as absolutely stupid. you didnt serious expect to be praised with curiosity from other members. Dont sweat it with the negative comments as you kinda dumped yourself in it. your not the first, or the last member to slagged off.

powerz
Heres another maybe stupid idea which iv'e been thinking of and mentioned on here before:Have a company make a hub capable of mounting disc rotors both sidesthen weld disc mounts on the forks both sides& use a monty splitter to join both calipers (one either side of the wheel) to one lever.Dual disc on each wheel, Braking power would be awesome i reckon. Joe_Elding
the wheel would get demolished unless it was a proper tank though.

Duel front disk has been done apparently, my mate was talking about seeing a prototype at a bike show AGGGGGGGES ago.I have seen them on motor bikes though. I don't know if that is normal or not. Walleee
Duel front disk has been done apparently, my mate was talking about seeing a prototype at a bike show AGGGGGGGES ago.I have seen them on motor bikes though. I don't know if that is normal or not.if it's been done on bikes you can rest assured it's at least been tried on motorbikes.I find it hard to remember a bike my dad's had that didn't have dual disc up front. Bill_B
Has anyone tried a larger disc, going up to an 8 or 10" disc, should be easy enough to get one manufactured or find a suitable motorbike one and have an adapter made. Incresing braking force has many options, larger discs, larger caliper/more pistons, dual discs etc, the issue is which system will be simplest (simple is always good and less to go wrong) and lightest. A dual disc and caliper setup would be relative complex and heavy.
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
Disk brakes are more than powerfull, why would you want both?
