I've Rolled My Ankle

Update:

Three ligaments down the side of my ankle - ones ruptured, the seconds only a partial and the thirds fine.

I've been told to not walk on it for 2 weeks, and it could take 3 months before it fully back to normal, gayness.

Big thank you to Si Lord, he's been great and I appreciate all of his advise.

Gay. Best rider on the Island is out of action, guess that bumps me up a notch temporarily :)

While I think about it, do you have any 4mm bolts? The rod thing in my ORO (you know, the thing I taped in) has fallen out and I can't be assed trying to fix it conventionally so I figured a 4mm allen bolt and a nut would do nicely.

I might have one, just pop round when you're back for the weekend, I'll hook you up.

Looks like I'm a camera man for the DJ ride, at least we'll get some footage.

P.S. You, Tank, and Phil aren't alowed to progress while I'm healing - It's actually a Law, I've looked it up.

Cack, I forgot about the DJ ride. Heal faster!

We all know how I am when it comes to laws, arson laws, age laws - they mean nothing to me :)

hey, glad you got in touch with Simon. I urge you to take his advice and don't do anything until he tells you it's ok. I've seen what happens when ankles don't heal properly (due to NHS treatment the first few times i did mine) and it's simply amazing what a difference it makes when it's treated PROPERLY.

even the surgery that the NHS offer when they're incompetence has resulted in a totally useless ankle is a complete joke, and provides no help whatsoever. takes it from one extreme (no support at all) to the other (almost completely imobile joint!) I gave you my story in the pm, and was fuming when they couldn't even diagnose 2 seperated ligaments and tried making me walk on it!

haha. well, keep us updated. Catch me on MSN sometime (guineapig_84@hotmail.com) if you want any advice/support while Simon's is sorting you out. Been there, done that, know the score :P he's a top bloke. cheers Simon!
