Brian Bleech
My Ipod broke ages ago and is out of warrenty, I have already replaced the hard drive and the scroll wheel broke straight after (pretty much) and so has been unusable for 6 months or so. I can't be arsed with it anymore...I have been using a little 256mb player and my cd player, but I want something with more storage so looking at getting basic 2gb player (maybe more) but don't want to spend lots of money because I go through shit like this quickly! As long as I can browse by artist/album and it has a shuffle mode I not to fussed about other features.I am not fussed about having the coolest looking latest gizmo shit, just a sturdy mp3 to play my tunes AigoSansaSamsungthis one too.. RR_Trials
Second hand iPod *** or equally, http://ipodrepairs.co.uk/Send you iPod to them for a 5er and they will tell you what is wrong and how much to fix. Worth a try?Hope i have helped, if not say and ill try somert else.Rorz.P.S i am biased towards iPods as i have always had the latest one from the 1st one out, i have always found them reliable up until my latest one which broke but with my record of buying from them they fixed it even though it was out of it's warenty, but it was a little strugle forthem to do it. ScotchDave
There's one on ebuyer called a sum vision, costs about 30 squids and works well enough for me, though some people seem to have been disappointed, according to the comments. Barbra
Phillips 2gb mp3 It plays video, stores photo's, plays music, has radio, and records voice! Its well worth the price. Basically a cheaper ipod. I just brought one, well worth the money. Small and slim too!EDIT: Though it is significantly dearer than the ones you posted, it has a recharchable battery included (same system as the ipod) and it hasn't got gay itunes software. Also seems to be stronger than the ones you posted. I've broke two 2gb ones of them. Edited April 19, 2007 by Barber

I just wouldn't bother with ipod full stop, after I bought my nano I had sooo many problems. It's not a case of sending it off for a fiver. If you spend that much money on a gadget you want it to be reliable.Personally I would go for the SanDisk one I would definatly recomend one WITHOUT an internal battery and 1 x AAA battery for 19 hours seems pretty impressive. Bill_B
Due for a phone upgrade? I've just go a Sonly W880 and taht will play MP3s off its internal memory card. Comes with a 1gb card but you can fit upto 6gb I think. I'll probably use it in preference to my sony NWA3000 because of its size and I always have it with me. Gavyn.
I've got the sansa and it's really quite good, it has good battery life. It does everything i want it to do (pretty much only play mp3s cause i can't see the point in watching a film on a screen only an inch big) the standard headphones are ok but mine broke after I ran them over with my computer chair. I haven't used the others so i can't compare them but if you want a reliable player go for the sansa. Gav
